I have a Maxtor Basics External Desktop Drive (1 TB). My WinXP was not able to recognize ng driver to do. I tried searching the net but can not find a. Can someone me a link to download the driver for the storage device? Thank you!

Should be treated as a USB storage device with a simple operating system. That is, should be able to simply install a generic driver and provide the access. However, perhaps just the hard drive in it and no points. If this is true, you want your management console to look hard for hello.

Remove and replace defective. (Or not)
You just have a virus that has disabled the Plug and Play, and the most important units ....

I address every day, to problems. And to my surprise .. Maintaining the solution of problems. Do not get me wrong ... viri not all errors related sOlveda there .. But a good amount of fact, they are determined. Check all these points, take my advice to .. and please keep me informed with the results of each method proposed by the solution of the problem. thx.
Drivers for the external USB drive should already part of Windows XP.
